SiteScribePrivacy policy
This policy describes the current local-first SiteScribe iPhone app and this support website.
Your equipment records
SiteScribe stores the customer details, sites, equipment information, observations, measurements, photos, transcripts, signatures and service reports you enter on your iPhone. This version does not send those records to a SiteScribe server and does not synchronize them through SiteScribe to iCloud.
You control the information you enter. Avoid recording personal or confidential information that you are not authorized to document.
Camera, photos and voice
SiteScribe requests camera and microphone/speech access when you use the related features. Photo import uses Apple's system photo picker. Voice transcription uses on-device recognition when supported; SiteScribe does not retain an audio recording. You can review and edit transcripts before saving them. Manual entry remains available.
Original imported nameplate photos may contain metadata supplied with the image. Report image copies are compressed and do not retain the original image's metadata. Review the content of photos and reports before sharing them.
Optional intelligent assistance
Supported devices may use Apple's on-device Foundation Models to organize information. This implementation does not send technical records to a cloud AI provider. Suggested information remains editable and requires technician confirmation before it becomes part of the record.
Purchases
Apple processes subscription purchases and payments. SiteScribe reads verified subscription information to determine available features. SiteScribe does not receive or store your payment card details. Apple Account and App Store transactions are subject to Apple's privacy practices.
Sharing and device services
Reports and QR labels leave the app when you choose a sharing or export destination. The recipient or service you choose can retain its own copy. Exported files are independent of the app's records.
iOS controls device security, backups and system services. Device backups may include app data depending on your settings. Removing SiteScribe from the device removes its local app container, but does not delete exported reports, recipients' copies or previously retained backups. Manage those copies through their respective services. Removing the app does not cancel an App Store subscription.
Tracking and analytics
The current app does not include advertising, cross-app tracking or a developer-operated analytics service. It does not send usage telemetry to a SiteScribe backend.
This website
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Requests to the website are processed by Cloudflare and may include your IP address, browser information and security or operational logs under its privacy policy. We do not add advertising, analytics scripts or a contact form to this website.
Contacting us
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you include, and use them to respond to your request. Email is handled through Yahoo Mail and its applicable privacy practices. Do not include sensitive customer records or payment details. Contact us to ask about deletion of support correspondence, subject to any records we must retain by law.
